Macadamia: Macadamia Oil is fantastic regenerative oil. It is high in mono-unsaturated fatty acids, contains Palmitoleic acid which promotes young soft skin, as well as omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. Palmitoleic acid is also found in sebum, thus macadamia oil has been often recommended for older skin which starts to dry as the sebum production diminishes. It also has been successfully used to help heal scars and sunburns and is considered very safe with uses in facial and baby products.
Olive Extra Virgin: Olive oil is extremely versatile oil. It is a favourite on both dry and irritated skin.
Jojoba: Jojoba Oil is a popular addition to skin care products because of its molecular stability and its natural moisturising and healing properties. It contains natural collagen, which is almost identical in structure to the collagen present in our skin. Jojoba Oil can be used as facial oil and is rapidly absorbed. Research also indicates that jojoba oil is beneficial in the treatment of certain skin problems such as psoriasis and eczema.
Camellia: Camellia Oil has been used to add nourishment to normal skin and aging skin to help restructure and moisturise. It can be used in formulations to provide the mono- unsaturated acids, (oleic up to 80 % and linoleic acid 9 %) vitamins A, B, and E, which provide antioxidant, disinfectant and germicidal properties.
Shea Butter: This butter is extracted from the Shea nuts. It is mostly for skin care that Shea butter is hailed, for its protecting and moisturising properties. Rich in cinnamon acid, it also protects the skin from UV rays. This butter forms a breathable, water-resistant film and is the leading natural product for moisturizing.
Cocoa Butter: Cocoa butter is the natural cream coloured vegetable fat extracted from cocoa beans. It contains natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity, and has an extremely long shelf life. An excellent moisturising agent for the skin. It has been said to enhance a suntan and help fade the appearance of scars and stretch marks.
Coconut Oil: The coconut oil in Scentia’s product is cold pressed from the flesh of the coconut. It is unrefined and is therefore not bleached or deodorised. Coconut oil creates a protective barrier on the skin and give skin a brightly shine.
Palm Oil: Palm Oil has excellent moisturizing properties for the skin. It is a natural source of palmitic fatty acids.
